Montgomery Transport electrifies pallet truck fleet

Established in 1970, Montgomery Transport now operates a fleet of over 250 vehicles and 900 trailers from multiple depots throughout the UK.  Operating largely within the FMCG, retail/wholesale and manufacturing & construction sectors, they also offer bulk powder and liquid distribution services.

When it comes to delivering palletised goods, manual hand pallet trucks have been a staple piece of equipment for many years but they are not without their disadvantages. In a bid to further enhance the productivity and safety of their operation, Montgomery Transport approached DAWSON to offer them a better solution.

The EPT12-EZ PRO semi-electric pallet truck features electric drive and lift in a chassis as compact as a manual pallet truck. It's lithium-ion battery guarantees non-stop operation for 3 hours and can be effortlessly removed for fast charging. An electromagnetic brake stops the truck automatically and the parking brake holds the truck securely, even fully laden on an incline.

Following delivery of an order of 65 units, Montgomery Transport have benefited from faster consignment turnaround and improved employee safety resulting in a 20% increase in warehouse throughput.
