The Cat Lift Trucks GC forklift range

One of the more unusual trucks we've delivered recently, this CAT GC70K came all the way from the USA and has a capacity of 7 ton. Weighing in at a whopping 10 ton, these trucks are known as "space savers" due to their extremely small footprint, yet high lift capacity.

This particular customer was tight on space within their production area but handles heavy sub-assemblies and so required a forklift that allowed them to safely handle these sub-assemblies but also took up as little space as possible. Utilising the latest in LPG engine technology and backed up with a 5 year warranty, this truck offers very low lifetime costs.

Smiley Monroe welcomes new CAT trucks from Dawson

Smiley Monroe specialise in endless, hot spliced conveyor belts for mobile crushers, screeners and recycling equipment. They operate in a global market with many market leading customers throughout the world such as Terex, Sandvik and Atlas Copco.

When it came to replacing two of their forklifts, their requirements were simple; reliability and value for money. Dawson MHE were able to fulfil these requirements using the CAT LIft Trucks range of diesel forklifts. Additionally, the trucks bring significant fuel efficiency benefits over their previous trucks by using extremely efficient diesel engines which are also fitted with idle limiters, preventing unnecessary idling.

The judges in this year’s Red Dot Awards have presented their prestigious Product Design Award to Cat® Lift Trucks for theEP25-35(C)N 80V electric counterbalance truck, citing excellent user experience and clever design as its key attributes.

Impressive innovations

Against stiff competition from 56 countries and around 5,000 products, this truck impressed the 38-member judging panel with innovative features such as its Responsive Drive System (RDS). RDS reacts to the speed with which the driver moves the accelerator pedal and hydraulic controls, instantly selecting the most appropriate performance mode. This is an exciting opportunity for the right technically minded applicant with a commission enhanced salary and no limit on OTE.

The ideal applicant will be dynamic, enthusiastic, independent, responsible, flexible and customer oriented.
A technical background in a business to business environment within an industrial sector beneficial.
PC literacy including MS Office essential.
Full driving license essential.
Higher level education beneficial.

Dawson Materials Handling provides forklift training and licence courses for all levels of operator from novice to instructor.

Our forklift training and licence courses are provided by fully qualified and accredited staff and are carried out to ITTSAR (Independent Training Standards Scheme and Register) standards.
